The Napkin

Terms of Use

By using The Napkin you agree to these terms. The Napkin is a tool for friend groups to record and settle their own calls.

What The Napkin is — and isn't

Group Pro

Group Pro is not available in this release: there is currently no subscription to purchase, restore, or manage, and no feature is unlocked by payment. Core participation — creating, accepting, resolving, and settling — is always free and is never gated by a subscription.

If Group Pro is offered in a future release, one member could sponsor a group, unlocking the full archive depth and advanced stats for every verified member. Any such subscription would be billed through your Apple ID and managed in your Apple account settings, and if a sponsorship ever ended, nothing would be deleted — only the deeper views fold back up.

Eligibility and lawful use

Your content

You are responsible for what you put on the Napkin. Receipts reflect the append-only history of your group's actions and cannot be silently rewritten. If you delete your account, your identity is removed and your name is replaced with "Deleted Member," but your group's shared receipts and history are preserved for the other members.

You keep ownership of what you write. You give us the limited license to store, display, and sync it to your group (and to anyone you give a receipt link) so the app can work — nothing more.

To report content or an account, email support@thenapkin.app; we can revoke public receipt links and remove unlawful content.

No warranty

The Napkin is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. The Napkin cannot guarantee that anyone honors an obligation or completes an external payment.
